I had the honor of presenting about Wild Learning through teaching math, reading, and writing outdoors for Inside Outside! This talk was aimed at formal and informal educators of elementary-aged children.
A sneak peek into the world of Wild Learning! Many of us know why taking students outdoors is beneficial, but often struggle with the how, when, and where. Author, educator, and leading proponent of utilizing the outdoors as a resource for teaching core academic skills, Rachel Tidd will share how to take your math and literacy lessons outside and meet state standards. We’ll take a look at what can be done in the schoolyard as well as the surrounding neighborhood. Rachel will offer time to answer your questions!
