Professional development workshops: Tailored to your organization’s needs, workshops provide practical strategies and tailored assistance in incorporating outdoor learning with math and reading/writing instruction. In-person, workshops include hands-on learning opportunities that give attendees the opportunity to experience various outdoor learning strategies. Virtual workshops typically break up the time across several sessions. The length of workshops can vary according to the client’s needs. The most popular in-person format is a half-day workshop, which starts at $1000 plus applicable travel costs if farther than 2 hours from my home. Pricing varies based on the size of the group, materials/books, and topic. Additional travel costs typically includes flights (ITH or ROC), hotel, and ground transportation and may include fees for my travel time. I am located in New York State (USA). Please email support@discoverwildlearning.com for a customized quote with your preferred dates and times. Please reach out if price is a barrier (read the statement of affordability at the bottom of the page). Workshops are subject to availability.

Webinars/presentations/keynotes: Interested in having Rachel give a presentation at your conference, meeting, gathering, school, or organization? Presentations are customized based on the topic and target audience. Presentations can be virtual or in person and are typically 1.5 hours, including time for questions. Webinar pricing starts at $400 USD. This includes a pre-meeting to tailor the presentation to your audience, preparation time, and delivery. We offer several low or no-fee sessions per year for organizations that could not otherwise access this learning. Please email support@discoverwildlearning.com for a customized quote with your preferred dates and times.

Author meet and greet/book clubs: Interested in having Rachel meet with your book club or group for Q&A and conversation? These are typically informal virtual sessions where participants can ask questions and talk with Rachel about the book and outdoor learning. These are offered as time allows, and we want to support Wild Learning in schools and programs and offer several low or no-fee sessions per year. If you are a school or small group, please reach out! In-person events are available within 2-3 hours from the Ithaca, NY area; farther locations may require travel expenses.

Podcasts and more: If you are interested in having Rachel as a guest on your podcast or other platform, send us an email support@discoverwildlearning.com.

Curriculum or Program Consulting: Starting a new program or designing a new curriculum for your school or program?

Homeschool help: Due to Rachel’s schedule, she is no longer offering general 1:1 homeschool consultations.

Affordability:

I realize that cost is an issue for many. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your specific situation. Travel accommodation fees can be reduced if persons in your organization can provide transportation from the airport/event/hotel. Perhaps someone has an Airbnb they could allow me to stay in (private bath/space required).

I offer a few low-fee/no-fee sessions per year for nonprofit organizations, schools, or groups that could not otherwise access this learning. In addition, if your nonprofit organization or event has a large audience (virtual, social media, in-person), fees may be negotiable. I also may be able to barter my products/services for photos and videos of Wild Learning lessons being used in your classroom/homeschool, or for special project needs. The viability of this option varies depending on current needs and context. Please reach out via email to discuss options and availability.

I encourage small schools and organizations with limited funds to consider teaming up with other schools with similar goals. If you are interested in this, I keep a list of interested organizations that would be willing to collaborate (particularly virtually).
